Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about our training, visits and how to use these resources.

Are these resources really free?

Yes. Every manual, guide and video on this page is free to download or watch. No signup, no email, no payment. Share them with your community.

Can I use these materials for my own training?

In most cases, yes — the resources are published under open licences (like Creative Commons) that allow sharing for non-commercial use. Check the licence on each resource before republishing.

Will you publish your own manuals soon?

Yes — we are working on our own training manuals and videos. In the meantime, these trusted resources cover the same subjects we teach at the farm. Subscribe to our newsletter and we’ll let you know when our own resources are ready.

Can I visit the farm to learn in person?

Absolutely. We run guided tours and hands-on training at the demonstration farm on Mityana Road. Visit our Demonstration Farm page or contact us to book.

Do you offer certificates?

Yes — every learner who completes one of our training courses receives a certificate of participation. Certificates are not issued for downloading these free resources.

Do I need farming experience to benefit from these resources?

No. The manuals and videos are written for beginners as well as experienced farmers. Start with the ones marked for beginners and work your way up as your confidence grows.

Can I download the resources on a slow internet connection?

Yes. Most PDFs are a few megabytes or less, and YouTube videos can be downloaded in the app for offline viewing. If you have trouble downloading, contact us and we can send a copy by email or WhatsApp.

Do you have resources in local languages?

Some of the manuals and videos we link to are available in Luganda, Swahili and other African languages. The Access Agriculture channel in particular offers videos in many languages. We are also working on translating our own resources.

How often do you add new resources?

We review and add new resources every few months. When our own manuals and videos are ready, we’ll add a dedicated section at the top of this page. Subscribe to our newsletter to be notified.

Can I suggest a resource to add to this page?

Yes, please. If you know of a good free farming manual, guide or video that would help other farmers, send it to us through our contact page. We’re always looking for trustworthy resources to share.

Do you work with schools or community groups?

Yes — we run tailored programmes for schools, farmer cooperatives, women’s groups and community organisations. Visit our Get Involved page or contact us to discuss what you need.

I found a broken link. What should I do?

Please let us know which link is not working and we’ll fix or replace it as soon as possible. External links sometimes change, and we appreciate the heads-up.
